Calcium is very important for women and men alike. Calcium supplements are a good idea for anyone who does not consume many dairy products due to personal taste or lactose intolerance.

Since our diets also tend to lack green leafy vegetables, supplementation of calcium may be a good idea for many people.

Athletes who exercise frequently and aging women are also people who should probably be taking a calcium supplement if the dairy intake is low.
